Consultation Services
-
I provide both ongoing and as-needed consultation to clinicians supporting individuals in eating disorder recovery. Consultation focuses on strengthening case conceptualization, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making, with particular attention to countertransference and the ways body image, weight stigma, and clinician identity can shape the therapeutic relationship.
Consultation is also well-suited for providers who feel “stuck” in their work—whether with a specific client, a recurring clinical challenge, or a point of tension in treatment—and offers a reflective, collaborative space to restore clarity, momentum, and confidence in care.
-
I provide consultation to schools committed to proactive, prevention-focused approaches that foster body trust, psychological resilience, and healthy relationships with food and movement. This work emphasizes staff education, policy review, and culture-level interventions that reduce risk factors such as weight stigma, appearance-based norms, and unintentional reinforcement of disordered eating. Prevention consultation is strategic and research-informed, supporting schools in creating environments where students can thrive both academically and emotionally.
-
I partner with schools to translate clinical best practices into clear, developmentally appropriate, and legally sound support plans for students with eating disorders. Consultation focuses on aligning academic accommodations, health and safety protocols, and staff communication to reduce risk, limit inadvertent reinforcement of symptoms, and promote recovery-oriented consistency across settings. The goal is to help schools act with clarity and confidence while safeguarding the student’s well-being and preserving their access to education.
-
I consult with colleges and universities to support coordinated, ethical, and student-centered responses to eating disorders within higher education settings. Consultation may include guidance for counseling centers, health services, disability offices, and academic leadership around identification, risk management, accommodations, and continuity of care. This work emphasizes clarity of roles, consistency across systems, and policies that protect student safety while supporting academic access and recovery.
-
I provide consultation to treatment teams, supervisors, and clinical leaders seeking support with complex cases, team alignment, and fidelity to evidence-based eating disorder care. Consultation may address interdisciplinary communication, clinical decision-making in higher-acuity situations, and the emotional impact of this work on providers. The focus is on strengthening clinical judgment, supporting sustainable practice, and promoting thoughtful, recovery-oriented systems of care.
