ADHD Evaluation and Educational Consultation in Pittsford, NY
Whether you're seeking a full ADHD evaluation for diagnostic clarity, or support navigating school accommodations for yourself or your child, I offer two distinct paths depending on what you need.
Is ADHD Assessment Right for You?
A Different Kind of Clarity
Sometimes you have spent years sensing that your brain works differently — that focus slips away just when you need it most, that the effort required to do ordinary things is exhausting in ways that are hard to explain, that you are clearly capable and yet something keeps getting in the way. You may have been told you just need to try harder. You may have internalized that story more than you would like to admit.
A comprehensive psychological assessment can offer something different: clarity. Not a label that reduces you, but a real, nuanced understanding of how your mind works — where it shines, where it struggles, and what kinds of support would actually help.
ADHD Evaluation for Adults
I offer comprehensive ADHD evaluations for adults who are seeking diagnostic clarity, a better understanding of their cognitive profile, or formal documentation for accommodations at work or in academic settings.
A lot of adults arriving at my office for an ADHD evaluation have been carrying questions about themselves for a long time. Many are high-functioning, high-achieving people who have found workarounds and pushed through — until they couldn't quite anymore. Many are women who were never flagged in school because they were quiet, organized enough on the outside, or simply too good at masking. Many are parents who watched their child get evaluated and thought, quietly: that sounds like me.
If any of that sounds familiar, you are in the right place.
What the evaluation includes
My ADHD evaluations are thorough, individualized, and grounded in a genuine curiosity about who you are — not just what your scores say. The process typically involves:
Investment
$3,500–$5,000
This fee reflects the full scope of the evaluation — testing, scoring, record review, report writing, and the feedback session. It is an investment in understanding yourself more clearly, and in having documentation that can open doors.
A Note on ADHD and Eating Disorders
This is an area I think about a great deal, and one where I believe my particular background is genuinely useful.
The relationship between ADHD and eating disorders — particularly in women and girls — is increasingly well-supported by research and profoundly underrecognized in clinical practice. Difficulty with emotional regulation, impulsivity, interoceptive awareness, and executive functioning can all intersect in complex ways with how someone relates to food, eating, and their body. High-achieving women with undiagnosed ADHD are already underrepresented in the research; when you add the layer of disordered eating, the picture becomes even more complicated and the risk of missing something important even higher.
If you are coming for an ADHD evaluation and you also have a history of an eating disorder — or if food and body image are part of what you are navigating — I will hold all of that in view. You will not need to compartmentalize your experience to fit the assessment.
Educational Consultation
In addition to formal evaluations, I offer educational consultation services for students and families navigating the accommodation process. This includes:
Fees for educational consultation are hourly and can be tailored to your specific needs and situation. If you are not sure whether you need a full evaluation or a consultation, reach out and we can talk it through.
Is an Evaluation Right for You?
An ADHD evaluation may be a good fit if you are experiencing:
You do not need to be certain you have ADHD before reaching out. Uncertainty is, in fact, one of the most common reasons people come.
